Dear Australian and New Zealand Fans,
Unfortunately we have to re-schedule Russell's upcoming tour dates in March due to a sudden and unexpected scheduling conflict.
We've never had to do this before, so it's a very big deal for us as the logistics of this tour were considerable - this was to be the first arena tour of Australia by any stand-up comic and the Sydney show was (and will be) the highest-attended comedy show in Australian history.
The reason for the re-scheduling is that Russell has landed a role in the Sci-fi action movie, Source Code. The film is set to be directed by Duncan Jones (Moon) and star Jake Gyllenhaal (Jarhead), Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) and Michelle Monaghan (Eagle Eye). Originally scheduled to start shooting after the Australian tour, Russell's shoot dates were moved-up when the producers decided to expand his role in the film with additional scenes and dialogue. Russell must now report to set on February 23rd until the end of March. (Which also means that his Las Vegas show on March 27th will need to be re-scheduled).
This wasn't an easy decision to make. Russell has been looking for good film roles for a while now and this one's very good and represents a major break-through in his career.
We sincerely regret having to do reschedule these shows and hope that you, the fans will stick by Russell and come out and see him in May.
Please retain your tickets from the March dates as they will be honoured for the May shows.
Fans unable to attend the re-scheduled shows will be offered refunds at the point of purchase. All refunds must be applied for prior to March 31st, 2010.

Planning on performing in Bahrain? Do not work with S.J. Bahrain Productions / SJ Media or Muse Media. Very specifically, their owner - Mr. Salah Janahi. Salah Janahi and SJ Bahrain / SJ Media do not pay artists. We found this out last year, when Russell performed in Bahrain and Salah and his team - Gareth (the Australian guy) and Abbas, his so-called partner - promised to pay us the balance of all monies due to us and then did not pay. To date, this dis-honest promoter still owes Russell a substantial amount of money for Russell's performance in Bahrain last December. Do yourself a favour and do not do business with Salah Janahi, Gareth or Abbas or any of his companies.
